I returned to Canberra in 2004 after many years travelling the world. It took a while to settle back into this city’s strange ways. When the gang gangs arrived heralding a turn in the weather, I finally felt back at home. They love eating the nuts from my liquid amber tree and delicately hold the nut in one claw while they nibble. These beautiful, relaxed and endangered birds have friends all over Ainslie.
